Chaudefour Valley

The Chaudefour Nature Reserve

The Chaudefour Nature Reserve is one of the three glacial valleys of the Sancy Massif. It is renowned for its alpine flora and its two sharp dikes (Dent de la Rancune and Crête du Coq). It is one of the most beautiful U-shaped valleys in the Auvergne region.

Lake Servières

Nestled in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park, at an altitude of 1202 meters, the lake was formed in the crater of a volcano.

Tulière and Sanadoire Rocks

The Tuilière and Sanadoire rocks, remnants of volcanoes eroded by glaciers, mark the border between the Monts Dores and the Banne d'Ordanche. They are located in the Cirque du Chausse, at the foot of the Col du Guéry, and delimit the Fontsalade valley, formed by lava plugs exposed by the glacier.
